On November 10, 1992, the Postal Museum’s Radio and Television Museum opened its doors in Diósd, housed in the former shortwave transmitter station building, which was constructed in 1943 based on the plans of postal director Jenő Schármár. The museum's permanent exhibition was inaugurated on December 1, 1995, on the 70th anniversary of Hungarian radio broadcasting, in the former transmitter hall and its adjoining smaller rooms.
