In May 1990, the Postal Museum exhibition site opened in the protected village center of Hollókő, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The exhibition titled The Post of Palócföld is displayed in two rooms, showcasing the development of the postal network of the Palóc people, an ethnographic group spanning multiple counties, as well as postal memorabilia related to them. The latter includes postcards, stamps, and banknotes that depict characteristic Palóc landscapes, traditional attire, and people.
