The collection of Mihály Munkácsy's works in Békéscsaba is the crown jewel of the Munkácsy Mihály Museum. This group of ten paintings and an identical amount of prints, as well as the continuously growing, unique personal relics - currently counting as many as 579 items - predestined the city of Bekéscsaba and the Munkácsy Mihály Museum to cultivate the cult of the painter.
