HUGARIAN DINOSAUR RESEARCH - 2. view

Hungarosaurus tormai

Hungarosaurus was a 4–4.5 m long herbivorous, armoured dinosaur from the fossil site of Iharkút. Its body was covered by armour elements of different sizes and shapes from neck to tail. Unlike most quadrupedal dinosaurs, its forelimbs had the same length as its hind limbs. It was probably quite fast. It could move its jaw not only up and down, but pull it backwards, so the chewing of food was more efficient. Drawn by Tibor Pecsics
