1822–25: Another unknown reptile
The discovery of teeth, similar to today’s iguana (Iguana iguana) but twenty times bigger, can be connected to Gideon Mantell, English doctor and paleontologist. The ancient creature was named Iguanodon that means: “Iguana-teeth”.
