There is no mention of God in the Book of Esther.
Some say Esther's name may also read as: I am hiding. "Yet I will keep My countenance hidden on that day..." (Deuteronomy 31:18)
If the God of the Jews disappeared, it is impossible to stay Jewish. If God only went into hiding, divine presence might be perceived in the progress of history. We have to reach out for Him by praying, studying and preserving the dream of returning to the motherland.
