The diverse and immerse oeuvre of El Kazovszkij can be considered to be a kind of personal mythology. His works are populated by sets of constantly recurring characters, such as idols, appearing in the form of ballerinas, swans and sirens. The constructed images reflect on emotions connected with enduring longing, providing an insight into a never ending “comic book”.
